Dump Trailers

PJ dump trailers are available in numerous types and models. The following are some examples of the units that are currently available.

Deskover Dump DS

This is a 16′ trailer is fitted with a 2 5/16″ gooseneck ball coupler. The trailer has 6′ 6″ ramps with holders, a barn door gate and DOT reflective tape. There is also a toolbox, electric breakaway kit and stake and rubrail pockets.

It has four 235/80R16 radial tires (3,520 lb.), leaf slipper spring suspension and spoke wheels. It also has a couple of posi-lube brake axles (7,000 pounds).

The dump pitch is 40 degrees. The wire harness is sealed and has lifetime LED lights (DOT approved). Other features include 12ga. steel sides, 91″ wide bed, 3″ channel crossmembers and a hydraulic cylinder measuring 6″ x 17″.

There is also a 12VDC hydraulic pump. The coupler options include BP 2 5/16 rigid mount, (20,000 pounds), and GN 2 5/16″ square (25,000 lbs).

Tandem Dual Dump DD

The trailer is available in lengths of 16, 18 and 20 ft. Standard features of the PJ dump trailer include a 2 – way gate, a ladder, a toolbox, electric breakaway with charger, 8 – 16″ 235/80R16 radial tires, half a dozen leaf slipper spring suspension and a couple of drop leg jacks.

Safety chains are also a part of the unit. Additional features include a wide bed, steel blades, a 38 degree dump pitch and 70 degree ramps. Four D-rings are also included. Optional features include cold weather wiring harness, removable sides and ratchets.

Tips for Buyers

Aside from dumps, the company also makes flatdecks, car haulers and other utilities. Look over each product and read the specifications. The standard features will always be included while the options have to be specified.

Aside from coupler options, the trailers will also have options for the axle, the tail, colors and others. Study each option and determine which ones are necessary. When you have decided on a particular model, you can start looking for a dealer.

Secondhand trailers can be found in other online sites. If you want to buy there, make sure that the structure is still in good condition. Being a used product, the seller will be asking for less.

PJ dump trailers come in different styles and this has an effect on their functionality. By being aware of their features however, you will be able to figure out which ones are the most useful for you.
